Summary/Abstract: The article examines the state of health of the EU population. The main factors having a negative impact on the individual are indicated. On the basis of eleven indicators, a grouping of the 28 EU countries into four homogeneous clusters has been made and indicators are defined that contribute most to the differences in the health status of the population of these countries. Based on the research done, there are outlined recommendations that would contribute to the positive development of the State of health of citizens from EU Member States.
