Summary/Abstract: In the study, it is aimed to give a basic information about critical theory. The historical background of critical theory, the areas it criticizes, and its arguments are examined. The purpose of critical theory is to raise the possibility of raising consciousness in the face of pressure and creating a different future society. Critical theory, which is based on the individual, includes human as the main actor in its units of analysis and offers a wide flow angle to international relations due to its interdisciplinary studies.
