Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the reform in the area of freedom, security and justice in the European Union in the Treaty of Lisbon of the 13th of December 2007. The first part refers to the systematics of the Treaty provisions. The second part of the article discusses the changes in the six areas, concerning visas, asylum and immigration policy, judicial cooperation in criminal and civil cases and police cooperation.
