Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present results of research into academic teachers’ experiences connected with didactic creative work in the aspect including evolution of it. The Evolving Systems Approach to Creative Work by Howard E. Gruber. Analysis and interpretation of research material derived from: semi-structured interviews, content analysis concerning teachers’ publications, and analysis of photos from didactic classes led by teachers allowed to distinguish two phases in the development of their didactic work. The first: intuitional connected with searching of „my own way” in the area of chosen: approaches/methods/techniques of education and the second connected with founding the space for creative didactic solutions and typical for this phase: progress and transfer the knowledge and skills regarding didactic solution proposed by them.
