Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the only Jewish plot, which can be traced in the work of Professor Ivan Mikhailovich Greаvs (1860–1941). For the first time in historiography, an attempt has been made to highlight the emergence and development of a steady interest in Greavs’ interest in the work of the great English playwright William Shakespeare, and through it to the topic of mutual understanding of representatives of two different cultures, Venetians and Jews.
