International Relations in Development of Socio-Political Thinking

Summary/Abstract: Regardless of the fact that the 1920’s are considered to be the time of emergence of the international relations, long time before this period there were philosophers, historians, geographers, lawyers, economists and military theoreticians whose scientific works have expanded the scope of part of human knowledge about international relations. History provides us with a plethora of approaches, notions and theories to sort the complex phenomenon of the international life, covering immense sources of literature – ranging from the works of ancient philosophers through works of middle ages to modern age thinkers, as well as the present. That is why the aim of this paper is to provide only basic systematisation of their contribution to the theory of international relations.
