Summary/Abstract: The present text aims to bring to attention different visual and conceptual ways related to the recontextualization of the object in contemporary ceramics. Some of them focus on a simulacrum approach, in which ceramics serves as a three dimensional vehicle for everyday objects, others focus on artistic projects that include the prosaic element in an artistic approach, placing it in a context with social and ethical values.
