Ephemeral aspects of contemporary ceramics

Summary/Abstract: The present text aims to address unconventional types of interaction between the artist and the ceramic material. In these cases, ceramics is no longer defined only as a three-dimensional object with decorative and/or utilitarian purposes, the ceramic tools themselves becoming a territory of artistic experimentation. The artist's interest in the conceptual function of the work defines the medium of expression itself, which is often in a reversible form, such as clay or other unfired ceramic masses.
