Summary/Abstract: This paper refers to a perspective where the ceramic material is seen as an element in which connection, interaction, become the main factors of approach. A brief view of the history of ceramics highlights the way which contemporary ceramics restores the spiritual and interactive role that dates back to the prehistoric period when the ceramic object covered an area from container bowls to idols or amulets. Contemporary ceramics proposes a way of total interaction, in which the manipulation of the ceramic object that activates its reconfigurable quality, is followed by motion, tactility and sound.
