Summary/Abstract: The author develops the topic of cyber-terrorism interms of human rights in an ample study focusing on such aspects as the internet, seen by terrorists as an attractive space for confrontation, communication, propaganda and recruitment, the definition of cyber-terrorism, terrorism in the cyberspace, politically and socially motivated, objectives, international terrorist groups on the territory of certain States, the psycho-war, similarities between the tactics used for attacks in the cyberspace and the conventional terrorist attacks. As far as the latter are concerned, he mentions that both tactics involve encounters of the members in the cyberspace, an extensive surveillance prior to the attack, exploitation of the software and of the vulnerabilities of the targets as well as the use of suffocation methods. Knowing these similarities makes easier the research of the various methods of detection and prevention of cyber-terrorist attacks.
