Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the loss of museums in the south of Ukraine during the Second World War. Valuable collections of Ukrainian relics that were in museums of Ukraine were exported as “trophies” to the territory of Nazi Germany. The selection and export process was controlled by special teams, which included not only the military, but also representatives of the scientific elite of the Third Reich. The question of the return of exhibits remains unresolved so far, which causes again and again to return to the designated topic.
