Summary/Abstract: Postponement of the application of the sentence may be defined as the authority granted to the court to, in certain circumstances, when it finds that the application of a sentence is not appropriate, to establish the sentence, but to order the postponement of its application, setting a period of supervision of 2 years. It should be noted that the application of this institution is not mandatory, even if all the conditions are met; it is up to the court whether or not to use this measure.
