Summary/Abstract: The book describes the evolution of the Romanian agriculture between 1945 and 1989 beginning with the agrarian reform until the last decade of the ’80s when the agrarian politics of the Romanian Communist Party led to the known economic and social results. It begun firstly with the socialization of the agriculture in 1949 and it finished in 1962. The work describes in 16 chapters the main aspects of the agricultural development during a period of 40 years. The first part of the book describes the productive potential of agriculture, within the rural and agrarian politics. The second part describes the agricultural resources, how they were used, the vegetal and animal production and finally the eco nomic and social efficiency of the socialist Romanian agriculture.
