Summary/Abstract: In this article, we will talk about BITMAP-based programs and their features. The designer, who wants to produce beautiful, interesting and different works, adds power to her imagination with the support of technology, computers and programs. Rapidly developing design programs have become the supporter and driving force of our imagination. While the development of design programs causes the designer to reveal her ideas more quickly, the design programs are gradually increasing and have become professional and constantly improve themselves. In this article, we will examine the development history of graphic programs from the simplest to the most advanced and their contribution to design, different graphic design programs and their development process, history and features.In our research, we selected the most used, common and preferred design programs among the graphic design programs that are free and commercial. Paint.NET, GIMP, freeware and commercially available Adobe Photoshop, Corel Paint Shop Pro. Graphic Design programs appeal not only to professional users but also to ordinary users, attracting everyone's attention due to their tasteful and colorful nature. I wish our research to be useful for graphic designers and anyone interested in the most popular and popular graphic design programs and their features.
