Summary/Abstract: The evolutionary viewpoint derives from a broad range of names that includes a philosopher, Karl Popper, and an economist, Friedrich Hayek, both Viennese. Within this evolutionary position, morality is viewed as a basis of institutions, not so much in the case of Popper but clearly in the work of Hayek.
