Summary/Abstract: In the investigation of the popularity of the representatives of the Young Poland — Tetmajer and Przybyszewski in Bulgaria — an extremely significant and interesting is the literary mediation of Russia. The mediation of the Russian literary environment, acting as the transmitter in the process of reception of Polish works of modernism in Bulgaria is important since it decided at the same time on the shape, framework and the intensity of this reception. The first component of Russian mediation was the fact of translation of Polish works from the Russian language into the Bulgarian language of the works published previously in Russia in the translations from Polish. The other element was the adoption by the Bulgarian literary circles also of Russian opinions and studies of the literary criticism concerning the works of the representatives of the Young Poland. The third factor was the awareness of the Bulgarian environment of the existence of literary medium of Russia and the atittude towards it.
