Summary/Abstract: The author concentrated her attention on the picture literature of Bulharin connected with the tradition of Polish picture literature and the works of Towarzystwo Szubrawców (The Society of Rascals). The author did not find differences between Bulharin’s sketches and works of the so called natural school in form but rather in the ideological force.
