ON THE RUSSIAN SENTIMENTAL CRITICISM

Summary/Abstract: The author distinguished three periods in the Russian sentimental criticism and gives their characteristics. The author emphasizes that although criticism had at that time been unbreakably connected with literature both from the point of view of its writers as well as from the point of view of the then most widespread forms of utterance it went through a considerable evolution in the field of undertaken forms, methods and problems.
