Document and Novel - Reconsidering the Genre Paradigma. The German Documentary Novel in the Last Third of the 20th Century

Summary/Abstract: The article sets down to functionally determine a hybrid genre of the documentary novel in terms of multiple possibilities of documentary presentation of the material and the related issue of the relationship between reality and fiction. In the last third of the 20th century in the presentation of the tendencies observable in the documentary novel, the focus is placed on a different idea of the status of fiction in the documentary novel.
