ŠTÝRSKÝ AND TOYEN. ON THE MAIN TENDENCIES IN CZECH ART OF THE 30’S

Summary/Abstract: The interest of the author is Czech art of the thirties of this century, with its leading trend, surrealism. Preceded in Bohemia by poetism and constructivist assump­tions and artificialism it was fully realized in fine arts, in the works of Štýrský and Toyen, creatively initiating the further development of the trend itself as well as other vanguard proposals.
