Summary/Abstract: Employee anomy is one of those problems whose scale and dynamics have not been accurately recognized. HR departments that experience the phenomenon of anomy, but do not have a consistent method of controlling it, do not have a strategic plan that includes comprehensive and coordinated actions aimed at solving problems related to employee anomy. The basis for effective prevention of employee anomy and assistance to organizations already affected by it is proper recognition of the problem. In the context of company management, employee anomy should be understood as the systematic occurrence of employees or more often in groups of employees behaviors that lead the organization to measurable financial losses. According to the research of Polish Employers of Poland, the main barrier to the increase in productivity and quality of work in Poland is the employee anomia socially inherited from real socialism, which blocks the emergence of an employee ethos and the resulting self-control.The article presents a small fragment of the results of own research conducted among employees from the Lubuskie Voivodeship. The general purpose of the research was to diagnose the phenomenon of employee anomy. Specific objectives set out research questions related to types of anomic behavior of their motives and justifications used by respondents. The research was carried out using the questionnaire method, the research technique was an individual direct interview using the standardized interview questionnaire as a research tool. According to respondents, sources of dishonest behavior of employees towards employers should be traced to the lack of appreciation by superiors and dissatisfaction with the amount of remuneration. In addition, it was found that the surveyed employees are aware of robbing their employers at the same time they do not see anything reprehensible in their behavior using justifications. The presented quantitative research is complemented by ongoing qualitative research that allows you to reach the world of respondents' meanings, which is usually not disclosed in quantitative research, understanding the perspective of the entities surveyed, reaching their point of view.
