Summary/Abstract: This paper is a study of the structural and semantic structure of complex sentences in the Spanish language during the period of the XII-XXI centuries. We analyzed revolutionary processes at the level of syndetic coordination, correlation, relation, modal temporal relationship, positional location of the dependent subordinate clause in relation to the main clause. We revealed tendencies in the development of complement object, attributive and adverbial models of sentences, as well as quantitative and qualitative changes of the volume of complex sentences. The results of the study open up prospects for scientific research in the field of evolutionary processes in the communicative separation of complex sentences in Spanish, as well as the implementation of semantic and structural transformations between the components of the functional system of the dependent link, the study of the essence of the latent-predicative link and its formation.
