Explaining Eoncepts – a Mediation Task in Legal English

Summary/Abstract: Intra- and interlinguistic mediation means being an intermediary in communication between users of a language or languages, who have different levels of specialist knowledge. It is one of the most important and at the same time the most challenging communication tasks. It is clearly visible in case of Legal English how many difficulties the task causes even to leading experts. The paper presents mediating concepts and examples of tasks consisting in written mediation activities.
