Summary/Abstract: Roman Ingarden has had an immense influence on the development of aesthetics, and his texts in this field continue to inspire in-depth studies on art, despite the passage of several decades since the publication of his major works. At the same time, however, phenomenology (especially the French one) underwent major transformations in the 2nd half of the 20th century as far as thinking about art is concerned. These changes have undermined its own methodological principles and tenets, as well as redefining the fundamental notions of this discipline. In my paper I take up the question of the continued relevance of Roman Ingarden’s approach to the music work, in the context of current phenomenological research, in particular – that concerning the subject of aesthetic concretisation.
