Summary/Abstract: This paper provides an overview of the metaphysical views treating theproblem of merely possible objects. This overview maps different aspects of QuantifiedModal Logic and the problem of merely possible objects. There are three elementsdiscussed in the formal part of the paper: objectual quantification, rigid terms andthe evaluation clauses for quantifiers. The philosophical part regards the followingmetaphysical views: actualism, possibilism, contingentism and necessitism. The provided mapping connects the formal aspects with the metaphysical views.
