Summary/Abstract: The article presents the statistical series characterizing the uneven distribution of wages in Polish voivodships in 2000–2010, measured in concentration Lorenz index. This information was used to examine the relationship between wage differentials and economic growth at the regional level. The optimal level of wage differentiation understood as the level that maximizes the rate of economic growth was determined.
