Summary/Abstract: This study and collection of documents centre around President Edvard Beneš’s official visit to Tehran in 1943, as part of his trip to Moscow, where the Czechoslovak-Soviet Alliance Treaty was signed, as well as his negotiations with the young Iranian Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. These negotiations primarily involved wartime and postwareconomic relations between Czechoslovakia and this country, which were intended to successfully carry on interwar arms exports. The sources also refer to the President’smeeting with such prominent allied politicians as Charles de Gaulle and Winston Churchill on the way back to London.
