Summary/Abstract: The mangroves are tree forests whose species have stilts‑like roots (proptant roots) and that can be encountered in the tidal balance area. These extraordinary ecosystems, which are homes for various insects, molluscs and kinds of birds, are incredibly fragile and can easily disappear causing environmental „upset” to the coastal areas. Controlling the evolution of mengroves, rehabilitating those which are endangered, is a priority in numerous tropical countries where these ecosystems have been proven to be of great economical significance.
