Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the semantics of some Hungarian verbal neologisms formed by -(V)z verbal suffix. Besides the analysis of the context in which the verbs occur, the paper examines the grammatical structure and the stylistic impact of these neologisms that principally occur in internet language. Typical groups are distinguished based on the meaning of the analysed verbs. During the analysis, real sentences from internet language are cited and thus with the help of citations and semantic grouping, typical processes of meaning construal (with the help of which language users can compress phenomena of present-day events into linguistic expressions) can be sketched.
