Summary/Abstract: Polish researchers who study gonzo poetics typically refer to the work of Ziemowit Szczerek in the context of gonzo or gonzo poetics in the context of Szczerek’s work. Other writers are rarely mentioned. Frankowski demonstrates that the main characteristics of gonzo poetics – including the unique role of the author as a participant and creator of the events described, a subjective narrative and overtly literary nature of the text – can also be identified in Andrzej Stasiuk’s travelogue Dojczland.
