Summary/Abstract: This work is part of a more ample research which aims to present the evolution of the relationships between the Wallachian boyars and the ruler Mihnea III between 1658-1659. In fact, the Coronation of Mihnea III Radu (30 May/ 9 June 1658) is significant from several perspectives. On the one hand, this ceremonial is meaningful for the assertion of the voivode’s political program, and on the other hand, the ceremony can reveal to us the power relations between Wallachian boyars and the new ruler appointed by the Ottoman Empire at that moment. Well-known for killing a large number of boyars, Mihnea III Radu managed to obtain the great boyars’ support for a short time, and we want to present it in this article.
