The mass grave in the village of Horlești, the commune of Rediu, Iași county - the criminal investigation of the far away history

Summary/Abstract: The mass grave from Horlești Iași county was the second mass grave. Military Prosecutor’ s Office Iași investigated. With the experience of the Popricani mass grave in mind, military prosecutors had to establish the truth about more than 206 victims found in the pit, performing the investigation on the crime scene in a month in difficult conditions and in a relative lack of material evidences – except the bones no other significant objects were found in the ground. Even in these conditions investigation revealed an absolutely spectacular situation: victims were medieval warriors, died in one of the many fights in Moldova of the Middle Age.
