Summary/Abstract: Professor dr. ing. Pompiliu Manea (b. 7th October 1935, Purani– Teleorman – d. 15th June 2015) will remain on a man who has made important and valuable contributions in medicine, history of medical equipment in Romania, part of those prominent people who left lasting marks on earth in history „Romanian company of medical electronic equipment”. He left after he got the highest teaching and scientific career, having created an empire in manufacturing and marketing of medical devices, TEMCO, directed and edited the Journal of Economics and Administration health (since 1995), having made inventions, edited university courses and books, scientific papers and popular science communication after attending the congresses of medical devices worldwide. He founded churches, raised monuments and began the work for relocation of memorial plaques on buildings that housed important personalities of Cluj, held important cultural events united under the title „Cultural Thursdays Temco” and was involved in supporting the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca.He circled the world and published his travel books Peregrine on five continents (Ed. Mediamira, Cluj-Napoca, 2011) and Emil Racoviţă and his followers – to the South Pole (Ed. Mediamira, Cluj-Napoca, 2014)after published autobiography: Three years of my life (1986–1989). From security files (Ed. Mediamira, Cluj-Napoca, 2014) and after he sponsored and released hundreds of books of friends and collaborators... It was a great soul, a dreamer, he truly trusted people, not infrequently, they betrayed or were not able to appreciate her kindness and thirst for justice.
