Summary/Abstract: The late published novel " Sealed Windows" written by Alexandru Vona in 1947 within a three week period but first printed in 1993 only is Gabriel Dimiseanu's subject for this article. This occasion is used by the author of the article to present the enigmatic characters, the special sense of time, and place experienced in this novel and the unique feeling these glacial beauties give the reader. All these, and the quaint story of the novel's publication itself make an interesting reading.
