Summary/Abstract: Surprisingly or not, Dimisianu and Elvin share a point of view completely different from the prevailing current of opinion in Romanian culture. The two writers are openly against any radical judgment that turns into a void the whole Romanian literature created during the totalitarian regime and that condemns the attitude of some intellectuals labeled as “collaborators”, as well as against the tendency to use anti-Communism both for hiding certain pathological aspects of the immediate reality, and for reversing the hierarchy of values so that it serves their own purposes.
