Summary/Abstract: The author presents a series of literary works written between 1945-1948 a period, which still witnessed democracy in spite of the communist menace. The first book in this series is Pavel Chihaia's 'The Blockade", a picture of the Constanta society during the interwar and Second World War period. The characters coming from various backgrounds to seek better life in the city of Constanta have to face now the hardship of war and it's most devastating consequence for this major harbor of the Black Sea, the blockade.
