Summary/Abstract: Several specific and recognizable models of theatrical organization have evolved in European countries in the past century. These models developed in a specific way in Eastern European countries in relation to their former socialist social order. Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a constituent of the former Yugoslav Federation, is a country with a turbulent history and unique internal arrangement, which is directly reflected in its theatrical system, or theatrical systems. Program-repertoire theater formats have only recently become more clearly defined within the relatively complex cultural-policy system of the country.
