Summary/Abstract: In this article the author uses methods and achievements of cultural and theatre studies, as well as the theories of arts management and cultural policies. Documented research offers to prove the thesis on impact of transition processes on the elements of theater production, from the repertoire itself, stylistic achievements, organization and legislative aspects, to direct effects on artistic issues and the theater audience. Multidisciplinary of the work provides a better insight into a highly diverse and at several levels separated theatrical practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the administrative, legal, ethnic, territorial and cultural divisions directly reflect the transition processes including the particularities of theater. Through comparative methods the article provides insights into similarities and differences of transition processes in BosnianHerzegovinian, Croatian and South East European countries theater, referring to some regional and international authorities, especially to the papers of professors Dragan Klaić, and Darko Lukić. The author attempts to collect varied and systematically presented material by applying the appropriate methodological procedures and combining research methods. Through presentation, analysis, and interpretation of material, the author tries to give an original contribution in the field of theater studies, as well as in the field of theory of contemporary arts production.
