Summary/Abstract: It is not enough to ensure that workers receive appropriate wages. The attention should be also focused on the development and professional training. Employees have a need for acceptance and recognition. Hence, awards, diplomas and promotions are important. Words of praise, assigning more responsible tasks and increasing the work comfort are crucial signs that employees are unique and essential for the organisation. The aim of the paper is to present some aspects of psychosocial safety and recent results of empirical research in the area of employee motivation – with the emphasis on organization of safe work.
