Summary/Abstract: Family businesses can be found in a variety of industries and sectors of the economy.The Polish literature defines family businesses as an economic entity in which the majority of the ownership structure and function of management of the entire entity remains in the hands of one family. One of the most important elements of managing a family business is to motivate employees, because it significantly affects the results of the work. Carefully designed incentive system entails benefits for the employee (commitment, sense of satisfaction with the results) and organizations (employee engagement and increasing competitiveness). The article presents the results of the study carried out by the authors.The aim was to make a detailed diagnosis of the efficacy of motivation factors related to th epromotion of safety culture. These factors include: work free from stress, lack of harassment and discrimination, and the rule of law work.
