Summary/Abstract: Nowadays intensive development of logistics is observed in many areas. It becomes possible to minimize the size of the costs incurred in connection with the functioning of various institutions and enterprises, improving the implementation of many processes, including those related to the provision, manufacture, and distribution, as well as increasing the quality of products and services. The development of logistics means it uses more and more innovative methods and tools that affect the activities of various organizations. Ecologistics is among the important areas of the discipline, the green supply chain within it. The paper concerns the examples of green supply chain. It shows the areas where it can be used and presents benefits connected with them. It is worth mentioning that green supply chain significantly contributes to the improvement of the environment.
