Summary/Abstract: In this paper discussed issues relating to the characteristics, which should have every manager working in a knowledge-based organization. The work was based on research that has been realized by other authors among companies operating in Poland. It was divided into three parts. The first characterized the most important issues relating to the knowledge-based organization. In the second chapter addresses issues related to the site manager in the organization. The third part of the work, presents the results of tests relating to the characteristics of this manager.
