Business Process Improvement – Analysis of Existing Problems

Summary/Abstract: Business process improvement has now become an imperative in modern management. In introducing changes in the implemented processes, managers see an opportunity both for survival in a very changeable environment and for development. At the same time, it is suggested that changes in processes take place in a systematic way, in response to changing customers’ needs. It should be noted, however, that the introduction of improvements in processes faces various difficulties. The present articleis of a theoretical and empirical nature, and its aim is to present and characterize the problems that accompany the improvement of processes. To achieve such a goal, a literature review on the essence of business processes improvement was conducted. In addition, the results of a pilot study carried out in enterprises that improve processes were analyzed.
