Summary/Abstract: It should be stated that the growing role of human capital is currently observed in health care entities due to increased significance of personal function in the sector of medical services. Significant differences are noticeable in the “approach to staff management”, which translates directly into various applied solutions in the scope of personal function. Increased competitive advantage of health care entities indicates the importance of measures in the scope of personnel policy for the support and development of those entities. The quality of personal function in health care entities is also directly associated with internal and external conditions. For the needs of the article, internal circumstances were described as extremely important in shaping of processes associated with personal function. Within human resources management, acquisition, development and exploitation of people’s potential are extremely important, which is possible through well-adjusted personal function implementation. It may be stated that personal function becomes one of the key functions of an organisation.
