Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the role of financial services (insurance and banking) in the activities of small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland based on the results of research carried out by the Insurance Market Observatory of the Warsaw School of Economics and the National Insurance Institute in Warsaw. The presented analysis refers to the degree and how medium-sized enterprises use financial services to manage the risks associated with activities carried out by these enterprises. The results have been supplemented with data from a similar (in the selected range) survey conducted in 2016 by Bank Pekao sp.o.o.
