Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyze the differences in the way of nutrition of students of the dietician at the Medical University of Lodz and students of biotechnology at the Lodz University of Technology. The study was conducted by method of a diagnostic survey using the author's questionnaire. There is a correlation between studying at a given university and the factors that guide the choice of diet. Students from the Medical University of Lodz; more often than students from the Lodz University of Technology, use non-traditional nutrition models. More students from the Medical University of Lodz eat the correct number of meals daily (from 4 to 5), eat meals regularly at appropriate intervals, eat breakfast every day, eat the first meal in less than one hour after waking up, eat the last meal in 3 and more hours before bedtime and also less frequently between meals. Students from the Lodz University of Technology most often make nutritional mistakes, like: eating fast food, binging on sweets and savory snacks and overusing energy drinks.
