Summary/Abstract: Nearly twenty years of experience in business as a manager and nearly ten years of educating young people as a lecturer has led the author of the article to a point where assumptions about the elements of management process that influence employees’ commitment must be verified. This issue is especially important in contemporary times where a crisis in employee commitment is clearly noticeable. The aim of this article is to prove, following several months of experiments, that skill fulcombination of three components: responding to needs, respecting values, and leadership are the key to stimulate and maintain a high level of commitment, even hyper commitment among employees, manifesting itself in being ready to ‘take over’ – to step forward and take responsibility and control over projects.By no accident, a team of members of a science club called ‘Practical business’ has been selected as the subject of the experiment. Choosing a science club that twins young people (the result of three years of cooperation, observation, and study of the youth) is crucial for two reasons. First, it concerns young people who are stereotypically judged as demanding, not loyal enough, and not really committed. Secondly, it creates a greater challenge compared to teams rewarded for commitment because it applies to an undertaking that is not connected with material gains (commitment is stimulated withnon-financial arguments).
