Summary/Abstract: Employees creating organizations are constantly communicating with each other. This processes can take place on a group team and organizational level. Despite the high degree of virtualization of work, autonomy, independence or the ability to perform duties in a remote form, well-established channels of information and decision transmission and mutual communication are still a fundamental aspect for the functioning and development of entities. The purpose of the article is to define and analyze barriers to internal communication in public organizations. The material for publication was collected using the qualitative method and the secondary data analysis technique, which was the in-depth inference od the literature material from the discussed issue. The analysis of the concept and meaning of internal communication in the organization showed how important it plays in the proper functioning of organization. The indicated sources of conflicts as well as conflict situations within a public organization are the result of internal communication barriers.
