Summary/Abstract: Changes which take place in the market of educational services, result ingmainly from obtaining autonomy of universities, forced the need of improvements in Polish higher education system. Rapid growth of number non-public universities, development education offers through the introduction of new fields of study, and in consequence, increase in educational aspirations of society, caused that environment inwhich higher education institutions function ceased to be stable and predictable. This problem does not concern new universities, but also renowned, with an established position. A contemporary approach, focused on success, assumes constant response to the needs and expectations of customers. The relationship with the client-student encourages taking actions aimed at raising the level of his satisfaction, and the developmentof the information society to transfer these activities to the virtual space. Universities to adapt to market requirements, introduce innovations and adapt modern solutions, bothin the process of education as well as non-teaching assistance to students: communication with the environment, recruitment or distribution of the educational service itself.
