The role of digital environment in updating of the ethnic-cultural values of society

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. The goal of the work is to investigate the actualization of ethnocultural values in a digital environment, broadcast by the Internet communication. The methodology of the research is to apply analytical, axiological, cultural science methods in the study of the role of the digital environment in the ethnocultural values of society. The scientific novelty of the work is to determine the role of the digital environment on the issue of dissemination and ethnocultural values in the modern socio-cultural space. Conclusions. As a result of the study, it was found that in the conditions of social changes transformational, ethnic culture continues to perform integrative, communicative, cultural-creative and educational functions, but in updated forms. Under the influence of the information revolution, traditional elements of culture are being modernized, gradually penetrating the Internet, and demonstrating the significant adaptive potential for the technological innovations.
